Review: Inside Stove from West Cork builders

The best investment since a long while was this inside stove, which I recently bought for 499,- at West Cork builders in Clonakilty.

Before most of the head from the wood and coal went out of the house through the chimney, and i had to use lots of coal to actually feel some heat at the sofa.

Now, after inserting the stove into the fireplace i use much less wood and coal, and the room is warm straight away, and keeps warm the whole night and even morning.

I was shopping around a bit, and had even a look in the city, but nowhere i could get a better deal, and nicer service than here. One more reason to shop locally !

  1. Hi C, Thanks for the txt you send me earlier to direct me to your blog.
Your fireplace looks the same as ours, still on the firewarm site the dimensions weren't that prommising.
    Q. How can you be sure the flume is in and sealed correctly. This in case of carbon monoxide poisening.

  2. Hi B,
thanks for your comment and i hope i can help.

Well I pushed the stove as much in I can and isolated it with rocket wool. I guess one cant be 100% sure if its done correctly thats why I actually bought a Carbon monoxide alarm to be on the save side.

Its only 35 Euros and I think its a must like a smoke alarm.

The Carbon monoxide alarm is mounted on the call at knee hight in the same room opposite the stove. It works for 7 years and than it will sound a alarm to be replaced. I test it at least once a month together with the smoke alarm in the hall.

Maybe there is a expert out there who can help with this question as well, but I hope the above is useful.
